Never easy to find, these pendants have been made by hobos, vagabonds, and traveling craftsmen for decades.
They probably became the most famous for being sold at Grateful Dead shows since the sixties, but were being made long before that.
Likely the first was made in 1932, the year that Washington first appeared on the US quarter...
