Piece Of 4 Year Old's Brain Tumor
In the past people have sold some pretty strange things on eBay. Does everyone remember the woman who was selling the ghost that was scaring her son or the people selling Colorado snow? Those auctions were fun to watch and talk about so in that same spirit and with the permission of the parents of this little boy I am putting up for auction symbolic pieces of his tumor.
This little boy from North Carolina, whose name I'm not revealing in the auction, is four years old and not only has a brain tumor the size of half a banana (approximately 3cm x 6cm) but is also autisic and suffers from seizures on almost a daily basis. He has even more medical problems than the tumor, autism and seizures but I can't begin to explain them all!
Each winning bidder will receive a small piece of rock which represents a piece of the little boy's tumor. What we would like each winning bidder to do with it is to find a way to destroy their piece of the tumor. Whatever you can think of, smash it with a hammer, disolve it, toss it in the ocean. Then if you wouldn't mind, take a picture of how you destroyed it and/or maybe a little note explaining what you did and send it to the little boy's family. Think about how fun it would be for him to see all the silly things these people have done to help him.
The family has a website (eBay policy prohibits listing the website in this auction) but this little boy and his problems are very legitimate. His mother updates the website on how he is doing on almost a daily basis. The family is going to use the money from this auction to buy a seizure alert dog for him. The family has setup their own paypal account so funds will go directly to them, I'm just trying to help by running the auction and covering listing fees. $1.50 shipping charge is for US, if someone wants it shipped outside the US rates will vary.
